James Marsden
Biography
Having appeared in a wide range of films over the course of his career, James Marsden continues to carve out a distinctive place in Hollywood. His career has varied from the Nick Cassavetes' romantic drama THE NOTEBOOK to the ensemble comedy ANCHORMAN 2 and the hit X-Men trilogy, as “Cyclops."
This December, James will next be seen on the new platform, Paramount+, on the dystopian series, THE STAND, based on the novel by Steven King. He will star alongside Alexander Skarsgård, Whoopi Goldberg, and Amber Heard. Marsden can also recently be seen with Jim Carrey and Ben Schwartz in the runaway hit SONIC THE HEDGEHOG, a live-action/animation hybrid adaptation of the classic Sega video game. When it was released in theatres in February 2020, the film set the record for the biggest opening weekend for a video game film in the United States.
James also returned for the second season of the hit dark comedy Netflix series, "Dead to Me," starring Christina Applegate and Linda Cardellini and he recently appeared as Congressman Phil Crane in the FX series, “Mrs. America," opposite Cate Blanchett. He can also be seen on HBO’s critically acclaimed sci-fi series, "Westworld.”
