Biography

Jack Reynor first enthralled audiences in his breakout role in Lenny Abrahamson's critically acclaimed film What Richard Did, which screened at the 2013 Tribeca Film Festival to outstanding reviews and for which he earned an Irish Film & Television Academy (IFTA) Award for Best Actor in 2013.

On film, Reynor was recently seen in Detroit, Kathryn Bigelow's crime drama based on the true story of a police raid in Detroit in 1967, opposite Kaitlyn Dever, John Krasinski, Will Poulter, and John Boyega. Also, Reynor was recently seen in A24's Free Fire, opposite Brie Larson, Armie Hammer, Cillian Murphy, and Sharlto Copley, directed by Ben Wheatley.

In 2016 Reynor starred in the Golden Globe-nominated film Sing Street, directed by John Carney, opposite Aidan Gillen. He received the Irish Film & Television Academy (IFTA) Award for Actor in a Supporting Role for the film. Also in 2016, he starred opposite Rooney Mara and alongside Eric Bana, Theo James, and Vanessa Redgrave in Jim Sheridan's The Secret Scripture, based on the award-winning novel of the same name.

Next, Reynor will be seen in Lionsgate's sci-fi action-thriller Kin, opposite James Franco, Zoe Kravitz, and Dennis Quaid, and Andy Serkis' Warner Bros. feature The Jungle Book alongside Christian Bale, Cate Blanchett, and Benedict Cumberbatch.

His other film credits include a lead role in Michael Bay's Transformers: Age of Extinction opposite Mark Wahlberg, and Macbeth opposite Michael Fassbender and Marion Cotillard. In addition, Reynor starred in Julian Jarrold's A Royal Night Out opposite Bel Powley and Sarah Gadon as a commoner who captures the heart of a princess. Other film roles include Delivery Man opposite Vince Vaughn and Gerard Barrett's latest film, Glassland.
