Biography
For 15 seasons, Pauley Perrette won the hearts of fans with her portrayal of the beloved character Abby Scuito on the hit drama series NCIS.
Perrette's additional television credits include CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, Murder One, The Drew Carey Show, Jesse, Time of Your Life, Philly, Special Unit 2, Haunted, and 24.
Her feature film credits include The Price of Kissing, Almost Famous, Hungry Hearts, The Ring, and Ash Tuesday.
Additionally, in 2013 Perrette produced a documentary on legendary civil rights attorney Mark Lane.
After college, where she studied sociology, psychology, and criminal science, she tended bar in New York City while doing commercials, voice-overs, music videos, and short films. Later, she moved to Los Angeles and has since worked steadily in film, television, and voice-overs.
Perrette works with over 30 charities, including the Police Activities League, the Los Angeles Zoo, the Thirst Project, Project Angel Food, Desert AIDS Project, Union Rescue Mission, the Amanda Foundation, Society of St. Vincent DePaul, AIDSWalk, Cops 4 Causes, Shelia Kar Foundation, Bullets 4 Peace, and Reloading Life. In 2016, she was named Woman of The Year, Hollywood, by Congressman Adam Schiff and honored with a Humanitarian Award by the the Los Angeles Police Department.
Born in New Orleans and raised all over the south, Perrette now lives in Los Angeles. She is a poet and spoken-word artist, a musician, a fervent civil rights activist, a published writer, documentary producer, and photographer.
